Circa 6th-7th centuries. Weight of 3 Ounkia (Orichalcum, 40 mm, 77.58 g), a circular discoid commercial weight with centering holes, raised rims and a double-grooved edge. Γᴑ Γ with cross above; all engraved in outline and inlaid in silver; all within stylized laurel wreath inlaid in copper. Rev. Blank except for the centering hole. Bendall -, cf. 124 (1 ounkia). CPAI 3.2, 167. MAH 60 = Pondera 3963. Good very fine.
